Share your advice with me relationship issues?

i am 18 1/2 weeks pregnant and just found that my baby's father uses cocaine. I got a call from his 21 year old daughter's mother cursing me for getting pregnant by ';a man I don't even know';. She says that he is a giant coke head. He denies having a drug problem but admits he does it ';once in a blue moon';. The woman also says that he has been lying at her apartment 3 days straight when he wasn't working. She says that he does that often. I have proven that he is a liar because one time he told me that he had to do a job in jersey and the following day I found out that he was at the baby's mother. By the way he has no place to stay. He works off the book no real job that pays him with checks. He stays occasionally with his brother and in the past some nights at the baby mother's house and sometimes here. i broke up with him and since then he has been calling me telling me that he knows that he messed up and still loves me and wants to be in the baby's life when the baby is born. Tell me your opinion.Share your advice with me relationship issues?
Ask him what he means that he wants to be in the baby's life. Does that mean that he will make financial contributions to yourself while you are raising the child, or does he just want to hold him/her a few times?





Be weary that he might want to use this as an excuse to crash at your place because he has no home, and is thinking moreabout himself rather than you and your soon to be child.





If you are feeling generous, then ask him to talk about what he means by wanting to be in your child's life. If he has a suspected drug problem be especially cautious. I would set up some rules maybe that if he breaks then he loses out on special privileges. Remember the child has become primarily your responsibility so its all up to you and what you want.
